What's for dinner?

The most pitiful dinner imaginable for someone with a job.

Some leftover spaghetti sauce, some baked Cheesy Poofs, and two cans of Vienna sausages coated in flaming rain lime hot sauce.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...

Holy crap! What did you do to deserve that?!?

Drinking beer on a Wednesday night while she's working a 12hr shift at the hospital and trying not to eat her leftover ribeye.

I feel for you brother. You touch that ribeye, you're dead meat!

It is honorable to suffer in the service of love.

So--she paid for the ribeyes? ;)

Last night was grilled pork chops, they were good, but I got a little heavy handed on the salt. our problem seems to be getting sides to go along with the meat.

Tonight Charleston crab cake sandwiches, waffle fries, and bushes beans. :)

Last night chicken Parm, whole wheat pasta, Romano cheese.

Fresh whole chicken. Olive oil, rub chicken down. Salt and pepper, chop up fresh garlic cloves and rosemary. Spread on chicken. Quarter red potatoes. Spread olive oil in bottom of pan and dump taters around. Take remaining garlic and rosemary, cover taters. Half a whole lemon, squeeze over chicken and other half over taters. Drizzle olive oil on taters too. Put lemon halves inside chicken along with a few remaining whole garlic cloves. You can also add French green beans with taters. Bake 400 for an hour or so depending on bird size. May have to cover lightly with foil toward end to not burn bird. One dish dinner. With great leftovers.

Dinner will be hamburgers, homemade potato salad, and corn grilled in the husk. After we grill the corn we put a light coating of mayonnaise on them and then sprinkle romano cheese on them. :)

Just got up to W. Jefferson. So tonight it is going to be some Ashe County Cheese, cheese curd, some Amish Summer Sausage, carrots and maybe some Ashe Co. Baby Swiss. Plus a few drinks. Just chillin' out.

Been cooking on my tailgater grill lately so tonight's it's burgers and a couple filets in caught on sale

I had some corn in the Florida Keys that was really dolled up. I know it had some spices on it, I figured they dunked it in butter, then rolled it in a mix. wonder if this was the base for it?

And some Ashe County beverage?

This evening I had a bag of pork rinds and a Slim Jim.

I've been told I don't understand the South so I dare not try the local beverages. Might not be man enough and there might be some curse that give me an upset stomach. So I'm sticking with something from abroad. :D

OK, you have Highland, now you need to find some of the local High Country drink.

Mayo on corn??
Yessir....that's an awesome combo. Coat em with mayo and Chile powder then grill. Add a squeeze of lime and sprinkle of sea salt and parm cheese and it'll make you wanna slap somebody. It's Mexican Street Corn.....also available on every corner in Brazil. We have Hot Dog carts and they have Corn Carts

Mexican style... Well Spanish style anyway... It's like that in Mexico, Spain, Central/South America, Cuba... Pretty much anything colonized by the Spanish after they got corn from the new world...

Never heard of that, but now I'll have to try it.

Dinner tonight is shrimp, cooked in oil and garlic, with sun dried tomatos. Then mixed with whole wheat pasta and sprinkled with romano cheese.
