What's the "weird food" you like?

I love Vienna Sausages. I once bought Libby's and Armour so I could do a taste test, and Armour won. I also love Spam. I eat braunschweiger once in a while.

One strange thing I eat is peanut butter out of the jar. I'm the only one in our house who prefers creamy, so I just take a knife and go to town.

I like Kipper Snacks (lightly smoked herring fillets), but don't care much for Sardines.

My use of the word love above brought to mind the late Norm MacDonald. He was on late night talk show talking about his cat. The host said, "Oh, you have a cat. Do you love your cat?' Norm said, "I have a cat, but I don't love her. I try to keep it platonic." Same with my Spam <snicker>

Found this in the markdown bin at Harris Teeter. No, I didn’t buy it. What were they thinking???? 😳

At least nobody has used the word "gamey” yet. That one tends to set me off.

I wanna hear this rant. I'm not sure what people mean by gamey, but then again I have about the same amount of taste buds as a dog and over-season all of my food.

Pop always told me he could taste the difference between and instantly killed deer and one that bolted, but I never could.

Can anyone spot the city boy? Reduced Fat? Sheesh!
Selected to be in harmony with the Grey Poupon and Miracle Whip dipping sauce. 🤪

For all your German sausage needs! I can attest to the fact it tastes like the real deal. You gotta try the "Nuss Schinken", most flavor packed smoked ham you ever had.

Peanut butter and pancake syrup sandwiches, Vienna Sausages, fried chicken gizzards and hearts, and I like scrambled eggs with strawberry jelly with a lot of black pepper mixed in.

There is this little restaurant In Mocksville we stop it when passing through that has “bacon jam.” I don’t know what’s in it other than real chunks of bacon and some barbecue-ish mayonnaise-ish sauce. I hate Mayo but this sauce is to die for.

Man! Their burgers are freakin' ridiculous! We used to go to their place in Winston a lot when they were open. I need to track down their food truck.

When me and Pa would go fishing and we'd catch a bunch of crappie that had egg sacs, Granny would fry them up with eggs and gravy for breakfast. It's been years since I've had it. She also used to try to sneak in brains & eggs on me. Can't do the brains.

Long Pig.
Is that the same as having friends for dinner?

I have never heard of anyone else having much to say about eating gallinules. They were all over Orange Lake down near Gainesville, Florida, and you could murder 15 per day. It was not real challenging hunting. A shotgun and a row boat was all you needed. The breast pulled out of them easily and fried up into a delightful chunk of mild and tasty meat. I would kill several hundred a year while I was a graduate student living on fish, frogs, squirrels, rabbits, ducks, doves, quail, gallinules, and turtles. Frogs were the best.

Cottage cheese. Right outta the container, plain. Has to be full-fat and I prefer Breakstones.
With black pepper…..just stand in the kitchen, pepper, eat the top layer off, pepper again and repeat.

I guess mine is Vienna Sausages....wife can't stand them....I could live off of them. Another is liver mush, she hates it too, I like it, but not as much as the no-fuss-pop-the-lid-n-eat Vienna Sausage.
When my wife was pregnant with our first daughter I went to the grocery store quite a bit late at night for liver pudding. That was her craving

Funny story, when my wife and brother in law were little, he came downstairs and asked his mom if he could have some vagina sausages. Yeah he’s never really lived that one down!

I haven’t had any in years but I like to eat raw beets right out of the garden.

Like the OP, I eat quite a few mayonnaise and banana sandwiches. If I don’t want a sandwich I will just plop the mayo on top of the banana and take a bite. Peanut butter and banana sandwich is good too.

I LOVE fried bologna sandwiches. The thicker the better.

Chicken stew with ketchup and Texas Pete.

Anchovies. Nobody I know likes them!
Sardines also.

Cream cheese and jelly sammies were a staple when I was growing up. Not weird!

I like Spam. Many consider that wierd.

Other than that, all food is wierd to someone/somewhere.
Spam is great. I can't have it now because of the salt. lol.

I'm half Korean, and like some Korean foods that a lot of people think are disgusting.

Kimchi and Jwipo Jorim are the main ones.

Kegogi is NOT one. Lol
Yes on the kimchi!!!!!!

Anchovies. Nobody I know likes them!
Sardines also.
I keep at least one jar of imported anchovies in the fridge at all times with two more in the pantry for back up.

Can't make a decent Caeser, tapenade, or putanesca without 'em.

In my sleep and served over fresh (I make my own) pasta. Where I have issue is finding proper pancetta.
