Meet Siddhanth Sharma. This is his mugshot in 2015.
And, another in 2015.
Guess what? ANOTHER in 2015!
Then, he got in trouble AGAIN in February 2017:
He got in trouble again August 1, 2017:
Then, on August 5, 2017, he stole three pistols from three different dealers, including me, at the Raleigh gun show. He was caught in the parking lot with the pistols in the trunk of his car, along with stolen ammo.
Here he is after that arrest:
At that point, he was 20 years old and already had THREE felony convictions. Just being at the gun show violated his parole, along with, as I understand it, bond terms for a FOURTH felony charge. The arresting officer told us he was going away for a long time. He was supposedly being held in custody with no bond.
But...WAIT! THERE'S MORE! The very next month, September 2017, he was caught AGAIN at the Raleigh military gun show. What was he doing? Stealing another pistol! Is anyone surprised?
Here is that glorious mug shot:
Since August 2017, I have been receiving victims' update letters on his August 2017 case from the Wake County DA's office. Just about every month, I get a letter telling me his case has, yet again, been continued. I was promised I would be notified when he was released. Can you imagine my surprise when he was caught this weekend at the Raleigh gun show stealing guns again? I can't confirm the details yet, but I was told he was caught after stealing four guns on Saturday at the show.
WAKE COUNTY MEMBERS: is this how utterly ineffective your DA, N. Lorrin Freeman is? Her campaign website states:
I don't know if your just have an absolutely crappy DA, or if NC's criminal justice system is so badly screwed up that a guy can be arrested this many times for this many felonies and STILL get out on bail, all the while totally dodging having his cases tried. Or, maybe it is both.
I have a call in to the DA's office now. Not that I think they are going to care what a crime victim who can't vote for or against their DA has to say, but I'm going to make my displeasure heard. Why are the rights of the hard working citizens, who actually pay the salaries of the court system employees, and their power bills, and their rent, and everything else, not considered over the low life habitual felons who are simply leeches on society?
If you can't tell, I'm ticked.
