+1 for the LCP. I'm not that big so it's about all I can actually pocket carry. My PM9 is far too bulky to comfortably carry that way.
The custom has better/real sights and a fugly but improved trigger, a stainless guide rod, and have been discontinued when the LCP2 came out. As someone said they're available still. I grabbed one on closeout and have it stashed away for when my regular LCP wears out.
The LCP2 is a better pistol all around... except that it's 10% larger. If you're really trying to pocket carry that extra mass and volume are noticeable, at least to me which is why I passed on it and got the custom.
Full disclosure, mine did rust which is why it's been refinished green, and the extractor broke after 300-400 rounds or so. After I replaced the extractor with a freebie from Ruger, it got really picky about ammo. Would cycle my carry ammo and a few others but it choked on a lot of other loads. Somewhere on the other forum there is a post with a chart of what worked at what didn't. I sent it back to Ruger and they did something and now its back to it's old self again. Perhaps I didn't install the extractor properly or screwed up the tension spring or who knows what.
Putting it side by side with the new custom you can see that the edges of the frame are just ever so slightly worn, and the grip texturing isn't quite as sharp as when new, but it's been used/shot a lot more than I think Ruger intended for this piece of equipment.
I've got one of the extended mags for it, but I don't really like it. The regular mag with the pinky extension fits my hand just right.
And it's lipstick on a pig brother awaiting it's day on the range:
