back in college we played a lot of shooter videogames in multiplayer online. I thought it would be funny when the little text log pops up on the side of the screen and says XXXXX was killed by PapaSmurf. It stuck.

LOL. I used "Poop on a Stick" for those online FPS back in college. PapaSmurf is hilarious.

First few times I needed a screen name in college it was Pyng420. I was working at the golf course, and always wearing a Ping hat. I changed it to Pyng. 420 because I was young and dumb, and thought it was cool…. 😔. Fast forward many years, and I find the “other site”. Now I’m an adult who loves hunting, so it got changed to something more appropriate.

I’m curious about how people came up with their names. Mine was an attempt to spell what was apparently the Chinese equivalent of my name, Jeff. I worked in China off and on (mostly on) from 2000 until a few years ago. Actually, the way they pronounced the word sounded more like Jeep-poo...

Odd, I posted a link to this thread somewhat expecting them to get merged, not to make him feel out of place. I was an interesting thread, they should be merged.
 
My email since I was 21 has been handymandave. From when I was running my construction/remodeling business. So I started using handydave as screen name online. Cause I'm David and I'm handy. My avatar is custom design my friend @TexasEskimo made for my business cards several years back for my leatherworking business.

Nickname from when I was on the fire dept. The 787 was my roster# we were station 7, so all #s were 700-799 with I believe 700-705 being reserved for chiefs n what not.
