Nice toasty day here as well.

Headed to @Panteao Sportsman's Club for some pistol shooting with a buddy as my guest today. Hot. Damn hot. Brought a cooler full of ice cold water and a couple of Root Beer's for when we were done. Shoot 200 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of .45 and another 200 in .40 cal. between us.

Man I had a blast and shot decently, clanged LOTS of steel, but I definitely need more pistol trigger time.

@foopid stucker gonna stop in here and share a lesson learned? Or start a new thread to discuss whatever happened?

At the range by 0900 and gone by 1000. Just to damn hot. Did manage to shoot about 250 rounds of 9mm and 45acp. By the time I got home it was 99 deg. and hit over a hundred for a high today.

aside from murdering Billys aluminum roof, I managed to hit a few of the targets I was actually aiming at. More often than not... two handed even.... feels good to be getting back to normal...
too bad I am still an Idiot......much thanks and gratitude to Billy....and then some....

If it makes you feel any better, I shot a hole into the ceiling of PDHSC once. Don't tell Chris Tilley.

Finally, it got under 100* and I went and shot 150 rounds of 9mm in the Glock 19, and 50 of .45 in the Springfield 1911.

It's way too hot in there! I'll be glad for the wide open spaces and possible air movement at Battery Oaks tomorrow......lol.

Took the new Taurus Spectrum to Triangle Shooting Academy today for 50 rounds, shoots great.
I think I'm going to paint the front and rear sights with offwhite nail polish I used on my M&P expired night sights.

I like it, the real test will be if it is Millie approved! :)

I'll be happy to try and break it for you! If anyone can, it'll be me.

Absolutely beautiful morning for shooting. About 4.5 hours worth of lead therapy and good times shooting with my buddy @11B CIB at the @Panteao Sportsman's Club today.

We were flying the CFF colors as well

I got together with some friends for a “pig-n-pew” this afternoon. They cooked a pig and had all kinds of good food. About a fourth of us were shooters, and the host had a backstop in the back yard, so we had some fun shooting before and after the meal. We shot everything from 22 to 460. Lots of fun, but I am really tired, so I will clean my guns tomorrow.

I went shooting at Battery Oaks, where Billy said I was doing well with my trigger control.
Ironic.
It was a lovely day with a nice breeze. I learned a lot, as always.

Yep, made some noise yesterday at Battery Oaks. Always love and appreciate the opportunity to shoot at Billy's place. As much as Millie breaks guns, my 19 and 30s survived the Millinator, lol. Will be going back today to hang out and try the wizard again.

Gave instruction on the vz58, PRD and PKM to a Army Engineer 1LT. Did some steel penetration tests using 1/2" mild steel target. Ammo M885A1 Ball (steel tipped) and M995 Armor Piercing. 3 different uppers at 15 m. Barrel lengths were 10.3", 14.5" and 20" as these are standard USGI. No penetrations thru 7 rounds (one 10.3" at 25m)

Rifle barrel lengths

Ammo, Left M995 Armor Piercing, Center M855A1 Ball and Right M885 Ball for comparison

1/2" steel target, M995 and M855A1 (listed A1)
