I'm going to do something terrible and magnificent.

No judgement zone. I was just going to poke around and look at a disassembly video if I could find one,
I suspect it was cranked on with a six foot bar by a gorilla. I'm trying to decide if I can cut the nut without buggering the upper.

I emailed BCA again to see if they can help.

Annnnd putting it all back in the box, I find I have mislaid the bag with the handguard screws (don't care) and the bloody receiver plug screw gasket thing to stop it spewing carbon and gas in my face.

I am a slow motion train wreck.

I did find sling webbing though.

OK, this is getting silly. I just gathered up a pile of clean socks I never put away. Bag of screws plus the plug fell out onto my foot. Socks.

However now I have a spare decent handguard with a new barrel nut they sent me and once I degrease and dry these suckers are ready for paint.

I always keep my extra AR parts in my sock drawer. If I put them in my reloading room after a day or two I can’t find them. Too much other stuff in there. I keep my Garand parts in my underwear drawer. You have to have a system.
I don't even have drawers, I use plastic totes.

OK people's, the weather is getting better, I've seen some daylight and my shadow and I am almost done building Teh Spessgun, so it's time to start working on this bad bitch again.

However, Spessgun robbed a lot of parts from my GayR build, specifically the entire 22lr upper and the stripped lower and parts kit.

So, I figure since this gun will make Liberace return from the grave it needs just the right orientation in it's choice of calibre. And of the calibres I want to mess with, 300 Blackout seemed the fruitiest!

After checking my stash and Combat Armory's discounts I've got a new stripped upper and lower to go get out of jail. And half an LPK. And various leopard print bits. Biggest needs are a budget 300BO barrel and gas tube/block, upper parts kit and an FCG/missing LPK bits.

And glitter.

Don't touch that dial.

Also is there an alternative to the bloody bolt release roll pin? I've never not dinged the receiver getting that bastard in. I know KNS used to make one with a tiny c clip but is there something that maybe screws together?

You can borrow these if you need?

Put masking tape on the receiver. Take a small flat file and taper the roll pin on one end just a tad, makes it easier to start, and you’ll never see it once it’s in, put a dab of oil on the hole, cause every hole needs lube.

I use Knipex pliers, as they pinch parallel. Just a wrap of tape, pinch, pinch, pinch and it’s done. No marring or scratches.

Not much to update because I'm waiting for a serialized P80 frame to hit my FFL so I can collect it and the AR upper and lower in one go.

Got the punch set for the roll pins and the 300BO barrel and gas guts already and just found these golden gems....

Saves me faffing around painting mags and makes it easy to tell that I don't want to load these in my 5.56 ARs. Got three on the way for that buftie warlord chic. Maybe I can find a knockoff designer belt bag to convert into a magazine carrier..
