Looking outside it appears that High Cost Point got about 6" to 8". Days not ever yet, though.
 
storm was a dud down here in Lake Wylie, SC - just a coating of freezing rain that is sticking to grassy surfaces.
 
Its going to be a fun day at the Butter Estate. Pics to come tonight
 
I have an accumulation of sleet I think.
And, freezing rain/ice on my trees...I hope I don't get anymore of the icy stuff - the remaining pine tree limbs will probably come down, hopefully not on my shop or Ducati garage again or the chainlink fence...
 
Last night I was out quite late with a lady.
I got home around 1am. It took me an hour. It only took 22 minutes to get to her house earlier in the night.

Here in WS/Davidson Co its about 4 inches

Power is on.
I plan to make a pork loin in the crock pot and waste my day on here with you fine folks.
I'll probably grade papers and school stuff too, as there wont be much else to do.

Except for later - FOOTBALL! NFL Playoff games.
 
SW of Fuquay, looks like just sleet/freezing rain with a light dusting of snow on top. Big time Flop. Weather station states about 3/4 of an inch.

Sylva, nc. Hr west of Asheville. 5" this am. We are down in a hole so most likely everywhere around me has more than that

If it didn't rain for a bit we would have 5-6". It compacted to a realistic 3".

We only got a couple inches in Bethesda/Durham area. View from my back porch. Still snowing a little.

The junkyard. Acres and acres of sleds there. Most even have brackets on them for the kids to hold on to.

You and I need to talk about SxSs at some point.
 
I was on the "pink line" so nothing but ice at 7:30 a.m. Now getting a light dusting of the white stuff. Think I'll go make a milk sandwich.
 
A good 3-4" in Huntersville. It's really light on top and slushy underneath. The overnight lows the next 2 nights will certainly give us a good bit of ice.

7" in Northeast Winston Salem so far and it is still falling...

Up to 8.25 in NE Winston and hasn't tapered off yet.
 
Freezingrain in warsaw. 20 miles west on 40 and the road is ice covered and snowing. Really damn hard
