I did think obfuscation as a general term for hiding the truth. (A term I learned from someone in the PsyOps battalion out of 'Bragg)

During Project Blue Book, the had people tell "unbelievable" stories to impune the credibility of those that had "real" stories.

When I was in corporate IT we used a technique called FUD ( Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt). Actually, we credited IBM with creating that.

Likely yes, but he was ready to assume that risk. This was a full hour before they breached the room. If they had attempted to breach the room then, they might have saved his wife's life as well as others. And he has to live with that.

Wow, he acted like he wanted them to stop him. I've never been in a situation like that, but I'd like to think that those guys would have had to physically remove me to stop me.
 
He had already spent that life insurance check in his head before he got there.
