Watches

Also, I think watches are a worse hobby than guns. It snuck up on me unexpectedly, I’ve only been interested since I decided to buy a nice watch and that the Seamaster I picked out would be the one and only I could want or need.[emoji849]

Navitimer or Speedmaster ?

It may be down to these two.

Or
Breitling Navitimer 806-36 gold plated with a one year warranty from a reputable dealer, watch was serviced and relumed in January 2020.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. Yes, the navitimer is "busy", but it's also iconic, and one of the only busy dials that I find aesthetically pleasing. The Speedmaster is also iconic. Get whatever speaks to you more.

I’d go with the Navitiner.

If I was pimping hoes for a living.

Showed up today, here are some quick shots. The watch looks fantastic. Also found out it was serviced by Mark Heist at the beginning of the year so I should be good to go for awhile. Now to pick out a new strap.

I was thinking along those lines. I rarely dress up so will want this to be casual.

The stamp it came on is lizard and it looks fine but really makes the watch dressy. It also came with a NATO strap but I don’t think I’ll use it.

I had to have the "Type B" Flieger also......these watches are spec monsters at this price point. I switched out the strap for a LACO brown aviator style.

Casio Duro (model MDV-106G-1AVCF)
........Best watch in the world under $60. A true 200M dive watch with screw down crown, 316 Stainless steel case for $55. I have owned 2 others for years and worn them hard, and they are tough as nails. They make great holiday gifts for family and friends who would appreciate a nice looking "desk diver" beater watch. Three colorways now available, the original black dail model, a lovely blue dial model, and this gold bezel model.

Lake & Sons Automatic Pilot Watch (Flieger A style).

If there is a better value for a automatic watch with a quality movement (Seiko NH35) with a sapphire crystal please show it to me. It retails for $129 but I got a 20% black friday coupon and purchased the watch for $105 shipped. Very pleased with this watch, the fit and finish is very well executed on this watch, especially at this low price point. I replaced the good quality NATO strap that comes with the watch with a LACO leather pilot strap.

Case Width: 40mm
Case: 316L Stainless Steel
Watch Face: Flat Sapphire
Waterproof: 10ATM
Movement: NH35 Automatic
Band Width: 20mm
Band Color/Material: Green NATO

Just in time for Christmas, a Vaer D5 Tropic USA (for me), and a custom kitchen knife made by a talented local bladesmith (for my brother)...

PYmfxoyh.jpg

The D5 was a pre-order that came with three straps (black silicone, and navy and khaki NATO), but I opted for a cheap leather quick-release I had lying around. I'll probably try five or six straps before I settle on something. So far it's a nice watch for the pre-order price I locked in. Just had to wait a few months. As for the knife, I already envy my bro for owning it soon. It's incredible.

@pirate nice to see another Vaer wearer! What do you think of yours?

Thinking about putting my damasko on the chopping block.
