What's for dinner?

Tonight, Hot dog sandwiches, 5 Grain bread, grilled hot dogs, Peppers & onions, Mustard & Ketchup, Waffle fries. Bushes beans on the side. We only have it a couple times a year only because of the salt in the hot dogs., and my doctor telling me to lay off of salt. But its worth it.

Today has been seafood nibblethon. Earlier we munched some steamed mussels with sherry, tomatoes and garlic along with some fine sourdough to sop the sauce.

Next will be steamed peel and eat shrimp followed by grilled tuna and mixed greens salad with meyer lemon vinaigrette. Oh, and some more of that sourdough.

We'll finish off that cherry tart for dessert.

I was at the store this morning and in the scratch and dent section they had a couple of NY strip steaks marked down for quick sale. I got a good sear on them and they were medium rare, just perfect. Good steak and corn on the cob. The dog is enjoying a bone right now.

Eldest son's birthday dinner today.

Burger bar: bison burgers, brioche and pretzel buns, garnishes (butter lettuce, tomato, grilled red onion, raw yellow onion, dill pickles, pickled jalapenos, fried jalapenos), blue/swiss/cheddar cheeses, poutine and broccoli slaw .

Chocolate chip cheesecake with salted caramel sauce.

Evidently a pile of fajitas are in my future. Piled the chicken and steak on a plate after they marinated separately. Scale said it was right at 4 pounds of meat.

Yeah, I did a little milk and some cinnamon/sugar. I never liked the damned things until I was about 35 or so.
