Watkins Grill in Raleigh, NC. They have been open for a long time. Unfortunately, they no longer have the civil war memorabilia that it was famous for, pre pandemic.

After a childhood flashback, I run out to the store… if you know, you know!!

Afterthought. It was really good, but roll was too over the top, to match the childhood sandwich. I should have stuck with plain white bread for the true nostalgic taste.

They’re not half bad. I like to cook up some mushrooms, peppers, and onions with them.
