What's for lunch?

A bowl of Campbell's "chicken pot pie" soup.

After a childhood flashback, I run out to the store… if you know, you know!!

Afterthought. It was really good, but roll was too over the top, to match the childhood sandwich. I should have stuck with plain white bread for the true nostalgic taste.

They’re not half bad. I like to cook up some mushrooms, peppers, and onions with them.

As for lunch, left over lasagna.

Yes sir,
Pan some butter, chopped up sweet onion, portobello mushrooms, let cook, other pan butter, steak-ems, let cook, add some L&P Worchester sauce, throw in some shredded 3 cheese, then mix everything together. Throw.on a "big bun"

Or for the lazy in some of us, pan, butter, steak-ems, sliced of Kraft singles, 2 pieces of bread, eat.. sometimes just forget the bread, it ain't nothing but "filler" unless that's what you are trying to do "fill the pit"

The post by @Mirac reminds me … a great breakfast item is Avacado smeared in buttered toast. I thought it sounded crazy when my mother suggested it, but it’s damn delicious.

Edit to add @NCLivingBrit … it ve become a fan of melted cheese in toast too. When I was a kid we’d eat “Welsh Rarebit” basically melted cheddar sauce on Melba toast. I hated it as a kid.

What’s the menu?
burgers and sandwiches…

They had a “deal” for us today that was any one of these four sandwiches and fries for $12. I went with the Inferno Brisket, hold the onions.

It was more like pot roast than brisket. 🙄

ETA: oh yeah, and I’m pretty sure it had a slice or two of bacon on it…which wasn’t listed. You can see the end of a piece stuck to the underside of the bread I’m holding up.

Is that lunch for 3, or are you a large man?

For two… food that good is easy to put away though!

If you folks get a chance, stop in you’ll be glad you did! Heading to the OBX it’s less than a mile off 264 at 17

I’m a little different. If I can help it I do not go to the OBX. More space for those that enjoy it. 😬
