Love that place.. guuud stuff. I usually get 3-4 all the way (mustard chili onion… cause that’s all they have!). Sometimes, I’ll toss in one of their sausage dogs!
If you haven’t tried them yet. Try Warrens on 33 at 17. Also, really like King Chicken too!

Got this email a couple weeks ago…
Due to a variety of family plans, ended up being just me for lunch after church today. Considering Freddy’s is <5 min from church, and is in front of Walmart (which was one of my other stops to make), it was a no brainer for where I was going. 😁
I did have them leave off the tomato spread and replaced it with jalapeño fry sauce.
It was just ok. Probably stick with the bacon double steak burger next time.

Late posting, but here it is… hot crab dip w/ chips, Buffalo Shrimp, and Soft Shell Crab Sandwich. Everything was excellent! ( I had already taken down a few shrimp and some crab dip, before I took the pic)

They definitely loaded the plate up! I hit those collards with a generous splash of hot pepper vinegar, to take them up a notch.
Visited Cape Fear Seafood in Raleigh, today, for lunch. Service was excellent. The plate (The Whole Boat: shrimp, clam strips, oysters, scallops, and flounder) looked amazing and all items were fantastic…. Except for that flounder filet on top… or at least it was supposed to be a flounder fillet. It wasn’t flounder for sure, as it had the texture of whipped crisco shortening. Aside from that the rest of the seafood was cooked perfectly and the espresso brownie sundae was phenomenal.
Gotham’s Deli in Smithfield…. Just did the street from Cricket’s Grill. Fantastic deli! Case was empty because they sold out. The food was excellent! Bread was soft and fresh !

Made a pot of chili, for the weekend. Ground ribeye and green chilies for this batch. Had to get a cup for a brunch snack (chef’s privilege)

Slow cooker pork butt. This is the 8 pounder I bought when HT ran them at $1/pound.
Prepped with rub and brown sugar and then dumped a large can of crushed pineapple in juice over it. Chilled the juice, skimmed off the fat and added it back. Came out amazing.

Look great! Nice work! This is very similar to how I make a crockpot version. I blend a can of chipotles in adobo with the pineapple, which adds some smokiness.
Cheeseburger from Bud’s Tavern in Youngsville, NC. Hand pattied burgers. The only day they are open for lunch is Friday (starting at noon), otherwise they open at 5 each day. For dinner hours, burgers are half priced Wednesday and Tacos are $1.25 on Tuesdays

I stopped in at the Empanada Factory in Wake Forest today for a solid lunch. Forgot to take pics, as I started digging in. I had a three pack, that came with an additional empanada for free. I went with the beef n cheese, chicken n cheese, Raleigh BBQ, and the Nutella Banana. Sooo guuuud. The Cilantro Lime dipping sauce is awesome!
Then as I was leaving, I checked out the bakery next door, Paul and Jack Bakery and Pastry. I am kicking myself for not getting anything, but it all looked amazing and fresh. Here are a few pics from there:

Got started before I remembered to snap a pic. Western Sizzlin in Goldsboro, NC (just outside the gate at Seymour Johnson AFB).
Chopped Steak meal with onions Mac peppers on top, loaded baked potato, and Texas toast. It was really good!
