This show reminds me of why I don't really watch shows. If you take away the nostalgia, and all of the fanboy "I read that in the comics" "you can see where Anakin went through the barricade"...and other "easter eggs" , you're left with bad writing. They keep doing things that just don't make sense.
Even the theme music tells you. It you listen they'll say it's...."dumb da-dumb-dumb da-dumb-dumb-dumb dumb dumb"
See, this is where I diverge from a lot of SciFi fans. Too many people get caught up in the comparative hype between movies/books/animated shows, etc. and lose sight of the simple entertainment value a movie can have WITHOUT having to be a billion-dollar blockbuster movie.
Comparing notes between movies is great, and part of the whole deal. But for me, when I go to see a superhero movie, SciFi movie, or whatever, I'm there to lose myself in a movie about superheros and such.
I love the old TV shows like Man from Atlantis and the live action TV shows of the 70s Captain America and The Amazing Spider-Man. I loved the 1994 unreleased Fantastic Four, which SUCKS in so many ways...but it's a superhero movie, so it's got an entertainment value all it's own.
Yeah, the Avenger's movies were awesome. But just because something doesn't rank up there with Endgame doesn't mean that a movie just plain "sucks". Listening to some people, including critics, you'd think that EVERY movie has to be on par with that kind of production to be any good.
Star Trek is another one where people get all bent out of shape between one series and another. Just enjoy them for what they are, is my opinion.
